Suero Houshold: Week Two

Dear Hope and Brennan:

I do so hope you are having a grand old time at Sim State with Brian. Have you talked to him recently? I know he's busy, getting ready for graduation and all that jazz, but he should keep in touch with his siblings, don't you think? Not to mention his own mother. Not a word since we received the engagement announcements in the mail! Isn't that awful?

Joy and I are doing fine back here in Cypress. Joy's best friend Erin dumped that absolutly horrid fellow she was going with, finally, and Joy remains solidly boy-less, claiming she's waiting for "the one" or some-such bull. I am slightly upset by her seeming disintrest in the male gender, but then again you didn't date either, Hope dear, but I hear that you've landed yourself a catch of a lad. Bring him home with you for summer break if you can, won't you?

I have a suprising peice of news to impart to you, the reason for this letter, in fact. I am engaged! To one Darren Walton, the most handsome man you'll ever meet. A provider if I ever saw one, no? He's tall, dark and handsome, the total package. He adores me, and we're already discussing children, if you can belive it. As if you four weren't enough! But the house feels empty without the pitter-patter of little feet running around. Yes, there's the sullen clip-clop of Joy's heels, but that doesn't quite feel the same, and she'll be joining you three soon enough. Just after Brian's graduation, I belive.

I love you both,
(signed)

Sim State, here we come!

So. Hi. Um... Yeah. I'm Rosemarie. I'm Brian's- I should start from the beginning, though. So... Here goes! Brian and I met the first day he moved into Cypress. At that time, I didn't think much of him, although he seemed nice enough, I had too much to do to even contemplate having a boyfriend. There was school, and I was holding down a job at the same time. But Brian... I could find time for Brian. He grew on me, and before long I was hanging out at his house twice, three times a week. My girlfriends were always asking what was going on with us, and I always told them the truth: nothing.

But then- He started throwing me these looks, sometimes. And after a while, I threw looks right back. Flirty looks. Seductive looks. It wasn't like me, no, but sometimes in order to grow, one has to act unlike oneself. Eventually, these looks grew into something more, and, one day, Brian took me to this little shop and asked me to help him pick out some clothes. He didn't buy anything, though, and we were about to leave when he turned to me, looking real sick, and says, in a real low whisper, "I think I might be in love with you."

Now, I'd never had a boy say something like that to me, so I wasn't sure what my line was supposed to be. Luckily, he had another one, so I could go about thinking what I should say. "Come to college with me? Please? Be my girlfriend?" I did the only logical thing at this juncture, and said yes in the only way I could think of. I kissed him. We made out. We kissed some more. He went home, I went home, and a week later, we went off to Sim State.

Now, I love the college life. All that learning... I was born for an environment like this. But I wasn't not happy with the dorms, and neither was Brian, so we talked with some people about alternative housing, and Brian met this guy, Sam. Sam's a member of a greek house, but the membership roster was looking a little blank at that point, so he asked us if we wanted to join up. We said yes, and moved in.

Sam's a nice guy, but he's a terrible flirt, and so's the founder, Imelda. They live for nothing but woohoo. It's been up to me, the only real studious one of the lot to make sure everyone gets enough work done to keep up a good gradepoint average. As far as I can tell, Imelda's not speaking to Sam because they were an item, but she caught him kissing a professor to get a good grade. Plans were in motion to found the greek house before the spilt, so they both live here, even though she hated him at the time they moved in. She's told me that she was about ready to move on to different waters, but she was going to give him an honest break before moving on, but I don't belive it one bit.

The first thing Imelda did after she met us was to give me a makeover. Don't I look pretty? I'm not normally into all the makeup stuff, but Imelda showed me how I can do it in two minutes flat and I don't mind so much, because Brian likes it, as long as I don't go too heavy on it. We're getting along ok, and now, halfway through our time here, all of us, except Sam, are maintaining an 4.0 GPA. How awesome is that?

Can I tell them the important part now? Ok. Brian proposed to me! I'm going to be Rosemarie Suero! It was the sweetest thing. He got dressed up, all nice and pretty, and he told me he had something to show me. We walked out to this little garden he had been working on with some of his grant money, and he points out a new birch tree. I smiled and nodded, but then he got down on one knee and asked me if I would like to live with him when we got out of college and start our own family tree. I said yes right away- there's nobody else I'd rather settle down with. I'm not too crazy about the whole baby thing he's so keen on, but I figure a couple kids running around might be nice. Not too many, just a couple. But that's far in the future, and doesn't need worrying over just yet.

As for the present, I noticed he had grass stains on one knee from proposing, and made sure to get him out of those right away for cleaning. A proper celebration of out engagement soon followed, and our very first enraged roomie banging on the ceiling with a mop handle event. Good times.

Brogan Household: Week one

Andrea Brogan here. I just moved into this little cottage off of Peach Drive, and things are looking pretty good for us right now. I live here with my little girl, Lisa. Her father- well, he was never much of a dad to her at all, and I haven't seen him in almost a year. He was- everything I wanted when I was younger. Handsome, daring, carefree. Wealthy, too, and just enough of a rebel to be fun, but not enough to alert my parents. We'd fool around a lot, and eventually I got knocked up. He was working on running for mayor and didn't want to mar his reputation so he started paying me to pretend my baby wasn't his. After Lisa was a few months old, I couldn't take it any more, seeing him in in the grocery store, the coffee house, everywhere, and having him not even look at me. So I moved.

I got a job at the local ER right off the bat, and the next day I hired a nanny to take care of Lisa and went to work. I got promoted the very first day, but they wanted me to work the night shift. Some paperwork got messed up, and I ended up going back to work just a few short hours later. I went, of corse, but when I came back, I was so tired I just crumpled up on the lawn. I had just gotten another promotion, and they wanted me to go right back after scarcely five hours of sleep. I called in sick, though, so I spent the day with Lisa. Normally I'm not one to lie to my employers, but enough is enough. I just couldn't work that much.

Lisa had a birthday. She's really pretty, I think, but don't take my word for it. Every mother has that to say about their daughters. She's real smart, and she likes to play chess with me, her nanny, or just by herself for hours on end. She hasn't made any friends, though, and I'm getting a little worried about her. She's not exactly shy, she just doesn't know anyone.

My own socal life is getting on ok, though. I met a man... Talin Wilson. He's reall sweet. He's also our postman. He winked at me and gave me his number the first time he came around with the bills, and I called him up to chat on Friday. By Saturday, we were making out.

That's everything worth telling about, I think.

Suero Houshold: Week One

I suppose I'm going to have to tell you about my family. I mean, how else would you be able to understand why I'm so keen on college? I live with my mother, Rose, the twins, Brennan and Hope, and my littlest sister, Joy. I'm Brian, the oldest, and it's my job to make sure that this whole family runs smoothly.

That's me, holding Joy, and there's Rose and Brennan in the backround. Brennan's quite the artist now- he was first chair in the percussion section at school when he was just a little older then he is there. He got a scholarship right away for art when he started looking into that sort of thing, but that's not untill later.

Those first few weeks were a little hectic the way Comic Book Guy is a little geeky. Our house is real small, only three bedrooms, and one bathroom, so there was almost always someone there whenever you needed to go. And not only that, but the kids were never happy with what we had. I mean- every day, my siblings were wining and refusing to do the homework assigned to them because the were too bored or too tired or had to take a shower. Give it a rest, already! But we did get them all done eventually, and Brennan started getting really good grades, like spectacularly good. He'd a brilliant little bugger, and he got a scholarship for that, too. But that's off ahead again.

So, Joy grew up into a terror of a little girl. For a while, she was even attacking Hope every chance she got, though she eventually mellowed out and is actually quite charming now. Speaking of charming- I've met a couple teens my age. One, in particular, caught my eye. She's a girl, Rosemarie, and I've got a huge crush on her right now. I'm not sure if she's the one for me, and I believe in soulmates, so I'm just going to wait a little before making my move. It's going to be one hell of a move, though- I have it all planned out. I'm going to ask her to go to this cute little boutique I know, and help me pick out a look for university. Then, I'll buy her lunch, and when she's all happy and fed, I'm going to bite the bullet and just ask her if she likes me.

She's awesome, though, even if she may not be "the one." She's funny and smart, she likes sports, and she brings out the best in me. But enough about her. That's almost everything, except when the twins grew up. Right before then, Mom started actin' all weird, moaning about how she needed a man in her life, how she wanted to get married and have a dad for us kids. She got better, though, and she's fine now. So the twins had a birthday, right?

Well, Brennan went first. He looks quite a bit like me, doesn't he? Well, younger, and without these pimples. Ignore them, ok? I swear they only look like that when I get my picture taken. Well, Rosemarie was over at the time, and I did not like the look he was givin' her after his growing up. Like- she was nothing but a girl, you know? Nah, I know she's a girl, and that's not what I ment! I have nothing but utmost respect for the female gender, but he was lookin' at her like that's all she was, a girl, not a budding actress or a wonderfull cook or a softball player, just that she was female. I had a long talk with him later about how he wasn't to go putting the moves on her, 'cause she was going to be mine, eventually. (Yeah, I know, jumping the gun a little, but I wanted to make sure he got the picture) He told my that his dream was to make conquests of twenty members of the fairer sex. Twenty!

Then Hope went. She turned out alright, dont you think? She's always thought big, and right now she's dreaming of becoming the top cat at some huge corporation. Joy looked on enviously, and I know she can't wait her turn to have a little party of her own. I cooked hamburgers for this one... Mom has been so busy with her work as a Cadet and helping us with homework that she hasn't cooked anything for as long as I can remember. Joy keeps telling me what she's going to be when she grows up, but she can't make up her mind. One day she wants to be a mommy with fourteen children, the next, she's going to be a movie star. She's not going to be ready for a little longer, I told her, but she wants to rush the process along so she can go to college with us. I think Brennan's ready for Sim State, but Hope? Not so much. There's still time for both of them, but I'm leaving in a couple days. I've just got to get out of here!

Archer Household: Week One

Hi. I'm Imelda Archer. Yeah, I know, it's a funny name, but it's the only thing my mother gave me I have left. You see... My mother died, and I couldn't keep living in Sim City because I didn't have a steady source of income to pay the rent. I never knew who my father was- just some mystery sim. She left me 20,000 Simoleans, and the only place I could find to live nicely on just that was here, a small suburb of Sim City itself. I miss the city, but I'm growing to like it here. My place here is much bigger than our old apartment, and although it's a little sparse right now, in time, I think I'll be able to make it really shine.

The first person I met here was Greg B-something. Can't remember his last name. He's my paper boy. Anyways, he came to deliver my newspaper, and I hopped out the door and flashed him my best smile. He just glared at me, so I said something about how nice it was out. All he did was mutter something about how it was about how it was about to rain any minute now and turn his back on me. The nerve! So, I threw a water balloon at him. Yep, he was right- it was going to rain.

Later that day, I met Nancy Phillippie, Erin Day, and Sam Corsillo. Erin's ok, I guess, and Nancy's, well, too old to be much fun, but for a grow-up, she's nice enough. Sam, though- The moment I said hey, I just wanted to be friends with him. Well, ok, be friends and flirt, but who doesn't want to flirt from time to time?

By the time I let him leave that first day, we were pretty chummy. I wouldn't say friends, exactly, but almost. School's ok, I suppose, and it turns out both Erin and Sam go to the same school as I do. I invited Sam over a couple of times, because- ah, I'll admit it. I wanted to make him mine. It worked, too. He couldn't resist my feminine charms. The third time he came over, I fed him spaghetti- you know how guys like girls who can cook, right? Well, he followed me into the kitchen and complimented me on my cooking. I batted my eyelashes at him and planted a kiss right on 'em for being so sweet. He was a little surprised, but not at all unhappy with my affections.

I haven't seen him since, which might be a good thing, as I think he's like me, moving on to a new conquest already. I haven't picked out my next boyfriend yet, so I'm sticking to this one for a little bit.

Oh, I forgot! My favorite color is purple, but I look better in blues, I'm an Aquarius, and my dream is to some day become a sports star. I excel in all things creative, and my favorite food is pizza. Now you know everything about me!
